In your own world. A short work about what we lose when we only look at the ground.
Lukáš Blažek
Author's note:
The idea to create this piece came when I was riding in the subway with my classmates - they were all sitting next to each other and looking at their cellphones, and it made me so sad that I began to notice this problem more and more often; even during lunches with friends, when we preferred to look at our phones instead of conversing with others... Creating this work was not easy - my original intention was to create a story with dialogues, not a montage. But in the editing room, the filmed material didn't make much sense and didn't have the right emotions in it, so I had to create something that would make sense from the footage I had available, so the film was mostly made in the editing room. The filming itself took place over 2 days, one day of which was used for finishing the final scene in the forest. The filming process was not difficult compared to the work in the editing room.
The film was created by a 17-year-old school student, at the Michael Hgh School, Lukáš Blažek.
