A-FilmTeens 2025 Continues Online and Announces Its Winners

The international festival for filmmakers under 20, A-FilmTeens, officially concluded its main 10-day program on February 22 at the Škoda Museum in Mladá Boleslav with an award ceremony. The event brought together many Czech and international authors to celebrate the creativity and talent of young filmmakers.

A total of 119 films were selected for the international competition and 25 for the regional section. During the festival, which took place from February 12 to 23, there were 22 screenings in seven cities, while the online section featured 165 films divided into 32 thematic blocks. The festival also welcomed 16 international filmmakers and four special guests, enriching the program with diverse and inspiring encounters.

The event included professional workshops, Q&A sessions with filmmakers from around the world, and a masterclass with director Václav Kadrnka, who shared his insights and experiences in filmmaking. One of the highlights of the festival was the presence of international guests at Prague’s Evald Cinema on February 20 and 2, where young students could discuss with the filmmakers the movies screened. Additionally, an international animation workshop, organized in collaboration with a Slovenian delegation, provided young filmmakers with the opportunity to engage in a dynamic creative process and expand their skills.
