Martina Inostroza triumphed at the Youth Cinema Network Awards with her short film Bylo to moc fajn

The short documentary Bylo to moc fajn by director Martina Inostroza won the main prize at this year’s Youth Cinema Network Awards in the category of filmakers under 14 years of age.

You may know the film from the competition “Můj domov?!” (My Home?!), organized by A-FilmTeens in collaboration with the ŠKODA AUTO Foundation.

Movie explores the filmmaker’s family roots, which go back to generations, and reflects on the concept of home as a place of belonging and stability. The documentary captures the memories of an 87-year-old great-grandmother about her life in the picturesque village of Smilovice, where past and present intertwine through the personal reflections of the filmmaker herself.

With her work, Martina Inostroza caught the attention not only with her unique documentary style but also with the intergenerational and deeply emotional overlap that she brought to the film. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!
