To live as a bilingual teen and to try to fit in. When Mina, a Korean-American, befriends two girls who don't know about her bilingual background on the first day of school in Korea, she's glad to be able to "blend in with the crowd." When Mina receives a call from her American father after many years, however, everything important to her seems to go awry. A short film about overcoming an identity crisis as a Third Culture Kid.

    The film was created by Garvin Kim, a 16-year-old filmmaker based in Seoul, South Korea, a finalist of Korea Youth Media Festival in Seoul 2022, who is currently studying at an international school. She is trilingual and grew up in multiple countries, including the United States, France, and Korea. She sometimes gets ideas from her life as a Third Culture Kid. She recently directed her directorial debut short, Mina (2022), and is currently writing her second film.
