All Hallows Eve, candy for trick-or-treaters and carved pumpkins. A hot-blooded bear calmly prepares for Halloween until a cheeky fly appears. A short animated comedy about the loss of patience and a frighteningly quiet evening.
Kinga Lendvai-Kontár
Author's statement: I'm Kinga Lendvai-Kontár, a 19-year old artist and aspiring animator living in Sweden. I have taken design, media and filmmaking classes during high school and will soon start university studies in the same field. When making the short film "Take it EaZzZy", I realized the joy and beauty of telling stories through 2D-animation, so this is what I aim to pursue.
This short film was my first venture into the world of 2D-animation. I was studying film and media in high school and wanted to combine what I've learnt with my love for art and classical music. Initially I just wanted to try and experiment with this artform I have admired for a long time, but never attempted before, but during the process I realized: making movies like this is what I want to do.
Being my first animated film, this little short is rough and unpolished, but still means a lot to me and contains the key elements I want my future works to have - humour, living characters and a deeper underlying message.
The film has already been screend at the Rostock's FiSH Festival and awarded First Prize in it's category at the swedish Novemberfestivalen as well as at TellUs Film Festival.
