Eco Fest 2024 in Malešice: Earth Day Celebration with A-FilmTeensFest
Malešice, 20 April 2024 - Yesterday, the 20th edition of Eko Fest, an event to celebrate and promote environmental awareness and sustainable lifestyle, took place in Prague 10's Malešice Park. This time, Eko Fest had a special touch thanks to a partnership with A-FilmTeensFest, which brought a diverse range of films by young filmmakers to the programme.
Despite the occasional rain, people gathered in the park to browse stalls selling local produce, recycled toy making workshops and demonstrations of sustainable gardens enticed visitors to explore different aspects of an eco-friendly lifestyle.
The star of this year's Eco Fest was the A-FilmTeensFest section, which offered audiences a unique opportunity to see films from the second and third years of the festival. Young filmmakers with their works appealed not only to the younger generation, but also to older viewers with their creativity and world view. From documentaries about environmental challenges to short feature films with an ecological message, all films outlined the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development.
Despite the inclement weather, the event was met with enthusiasm and interest from visitors. The atmosphere of understanding and sharing was felt at every turn, and showed that even small steps can lead to big changes in environmental protection.
