FilmTeens 2025: Record number of films and inspiring programme!

Time is running out and we can't wait to show you what's in store for A-FilmTeens 2025!

This year we received over 400 films from all over the world, the most in the history of the festival! Our programming team has carefully selected 25 thematic film blocks that will not only entertain you, but also inspire you and have the potential to become great educational material for use in schools.

TEENS UNDER (up to 11 years)
TEENS JUNIORS (12-15 years)
TEENS SENIORS (16-20 years old) - this category is further divided by genre, namely into fiction, documentary and experimental films.

What can you look forward to?
This year's A-FilmTeens festival brings a diverse range of stories divided into 7 thematic sections that reflect the world of young filmmakers. Each of them brings a unique perspective on life and contemporary events.

JOY - all about the good things in the world

In this section you will find films that celebrate the beauty of everyday moments, friendships, achievements and the little things that make life more joyful. Young filmmakers show that even in today's challenging world there is still reason to smile and be optimistic.

EARTH: A PLACE TO LIVE - about landscape, ecology and planetary protection

How do children and teenagers perceive our planet? The films in this section focus on nature, sustainable lifestyles, climate change and environmental activism. The authors seek answers to questions about how to protect our Earth for future generations.

ROOTS - about origin, culture, history and traditions

We all have a story and roots. In this section, the authors focus on cultural heritage, historical events and personal family stories. What traditions shape us? What do their origins mean for the younger generation? The films provide personal and universal perspectives on our connection to the past.

INNER WORLDS - about dreams, fantasy and mental health

Dreams, fears, anxieties, fantasies and the struggle with the self - all of these are reflected in the films in this section. Here, the filmmakers explore the psychological aspects of life, mental health and its importance today. How to cope with the pressure of society? How to find your inner peace? The films in this section make profound and personal statements.

ME AND MY NEIGHBORS - about us, our loved ones and those we miss

Family, friendship, love and loss - this section reflects on human relationships in all their forms. How do relationships change between generations? How do we cope with grief or separation? Young authors bring sensitive insights into interpersonal ties and the importance of close people in our lives.

THE SYSTEM - about life in modern times and the pressures of society

The digital era, social networks, the school system, career pressures - young filmmakers in this section focus on the challenges of the current era. What is it like growing up in a world full of information, rules and expectations? How does technology affect our everyday lives? This section offers a critical and ironic look at modern society.

Signs of the times - about today and its challenges

What influences today's generation the most? What issues are young people dealing with? This section explores current issues that resonate through society - from human rights to politics to social problems. In it, young authors hold a mirror up to today's times and bring a fresh perspective on the world we live in.

A-FilmTeens 2025 brings films that entertain, inspire and make you think. From 12 February 2025 you will be able to watch them online and vote for your favourites.
