The festival's SYSTEM section focuses on life in today's digital and connected society, where themes of societal pressure, the internet world, and the constant struggle for survival in a constantly evolving technological environment intersect.


In this section you will find films that focus on the consequences of modern life and the pitfalls associated with the technologies that surround us.

ESCAPE FROM THE SYSTEM
This block of films focuses on the theme of societal pressures and living in the dystopian world that surrounds us. The films in this section show how individuals cope with the pressures of modern times, the effects of these pressures on their identity and life choices, and what happens when they try to escape the system

Rat King
A young boy falls in love with a dead rat. When he begins to die himself, it sparks a devastating obsession in the local village with this boy, his rat, and their symbolic meaning.

The Light
Blindness, loneliness and the absence of humanity. A dystopian film about a blind woman and her dog trying to survive in an abandoned country after a nuclear war.

Moths
An allegorical experimental film about the competition of moths for light, which also symbolizes our constant competition for success and recognition in life.


BULLYING
Today we are increasingly faced with coercion that leads us to feelings of inferiority, anxiety and fears about our identity. The films in this section show how different forms of bullying affect individuals, how they manifest themselves in everyday life, and the importance of finding ways to cope with these problems. This block of films focuses on the topic of bullying and the dangers that modern society brings.

Clara
Clara faces bullying at school but finds a way to deal with it. A short film about how a positive attitude helps to overcome bullying.

The Naughties
A group of kids laugh when their friend claims someone is lurking. A short film about how sometimes bullying starts as a joke and ends with serious consequences.

A Message from the Spacecraft
The crew of the legendary Star Trek spaceship lands on Earth to stop bullying at a local school.

Safety in Similarity
Alissia lives in a world where differences are taboo and conformity is the law. This film shows how uniformity can kill the spirit and why we should celebrate the differences between us.

THE WORLD OF ONES AND ZEROS
This film block focuses on life in the digital age and the challenges posed by the technological revolution. Today's world, intertwined with the internet, artificial intelligence and technology, is constantly changing and influencing our relationships, work and way of thinking. This block of films shows different aspects of modern life, where the digital world interferes with everyday reality, and where technology can be both a help and a threat. The films in this section show that we live in an environment where ones and zeros, software and hardware, are increasingly linked to our emotions, decisions and very existence.

D.A.R.I.O.
A reliable robot looking for a human to help, showing us what can happen when technology fails to find a human connection.

Binary Singularities
A man awakened in a technological prison meets his unknown captor. The film focuses on the relationship between man and technology and questions whether machines can have human qualities.

Business As Usual
A film about Robert, who lets his work and ambition consume him to the point of exhaustion. It tells the story of the price we pay for constant growth and success.

Connected
A film about the dangers of being constantly connected to technology and the effect it has on our relationships and health.

KIBO
A short film about a robotic dog that shows us how love and friendship can exist in a technological world.
