Tomáš Hanák - actor

At a young age he went with his family to Cuba, where his father worked. After his return, he studied at a grammar school and the University of Economics, where he chose the field of foreign trade. After being expelled from the VŠE for political reasons, he tried to get into the DAMU, unsuccessfully. Before he became an actor, he worked as a fisherman, warehouseman, waiter, puppeteer and assistant director. But he got to acting and his dream. Since 1977 he has been working in the independent theatre Sklep. In front of the film camera, he shone in films such as "Bony and Peace", "Thanks for Every New Morning", "Traps, Traps, Traps" and "Dead Forest". He was also part of Terry Gilliam's project, which was filmed in Bohemia. In The Curse of the Brothers Grimm, he starred alongside Matt Damon and Heath Ledger.
In addition to acting, Tomáš Hanák is also a musician, presenter and journalist. And if he has a weakness, it's coffee. He can't imagine a day without it.
