Why are numbers infinite? And why does the world exist when it's going to be destroyed by the Sun? A collection of questions, concerns and interests of 8 year old children. A short animated film uncovers things playful and deep at the same time, things we usually try to avoid answering even to ourselves. Think about them for a second!

This film is a student project of "Giuliani" 3rd to 4th graders (8 and later 9-year-old authors of 3A, 3B, 3C (later 4A, 4B 4C)) of primary school of Istituto Comprensivo Ponte San Nicolò in Padova in the academic year 2019-2020 and then 2020-2021. This short film was produced during normal school hours, with the support of the school teachers. It is part of a film education project that promotes the use of cinema as a pedagogical tool. The pandemic has changed the times of the laboratory, spreading the production in two school years.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
All our workshops begin with listening to the children, their thoughts and their creativity. In this case and this particular class, a wonderful ability of the children to ask questions emerged, on which basis we created a genuine collection of childish thought. Alongside the pure philosophical nature of the questions, they are aimed at astronomy and asked with a certain restlessness and concern.

"It is amazing to discover how children's imaginations process the scraps of information available, building reflections and worries on them. This is like an indirect invitation for adults to listen to the hidden questions of our children, accompanying them to understand the meaning of things."
