A passing nature of peace. A short documentary of a young student on the war in the Ukraine.
Yana Skydan
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
The war started in the Crimea eight years ago and turned into large-scale war on the 24th of February this year. With this documentary I wanted to tell how life of each Ukrainian has changed after this date. It shows the events of the last 3 months, describes the unity and courage of the Ukrainian nation, and explains what the war is and what it can cause.
TThe film also includes some footage I myself filmed during the first week of the invasion in the Ukraine. I currently relocated to Brighton and am strenuously working on developing my skills in cinematography, editing and animation.
The film was made as a college project by Yana Skydan, a 18-year-old digital artist and a filmmaker from the Ukraine. It was screened at the Four River Film Festival in Karlovac and was awarded.
